Testimonials

UHE gave me the opportunity to pursue two careers simultaneously, so upon graduation I had a wide range of opportunities. Always passionate about politics, I joined the activities of a political movement and in 2021 I was offered an alternate candidacy for the National Assembly. Experience in the field is fundamental for those who want to serve the community, but the knowledge and analytical tools I gained from my studies at UHE helped me to navigate in this environment in a strategic and proactive way.

Carlos Sebastián Garcés Vásconez

Advisor to the Court of Justice of the Andean Community.

Hemisferios University gave me the academic tools to be what I am today. Thanks to the path I started in 2007 I was marking each step to reach what I have achieved. At the U I received tools that allowed me to see communication from a rich and broad perspective, and I learned to handle tools that allow me to analyze and practice my career with technical knowledge even in areas that are not my "specialty" (for example editing, production, graphic design, etc). Humanistic training, from my perspective, gives U graduates a great advantage over those from other universities: we practice our professions with commitment and ethics above all things, understanding the value of people as people, and not as numbers. I also remember with immense affection and gratitude María Graciela Crespo, Alejandro Ribadeneira, Diego Jaramillo, Daniel López, and all the faculty and staff of the University who gave their commitment to make the U what it is today. Coming back to the U makes me feel at home, and looking back I can see how it has evolved and grown. I can proudly say that I graduated from Hemisferios U, and if I were to go back in time and have to choose again, I would not hesitate to return to my alma mater.

María José Eguiguren Silva

Bachelor's Degree in Journalism and Corporate Communications, 2012

The University has given me multiple contributions. First, the possibility of pursuing at the same time the two careers I wanted, which helped me to have a multidisciplinary training. The UHE supported my participation in several competitions such as the Ibero-American International Humanitarian Law Competition, the Manuel Muñoz Borrero Competition, the International Arbitration Competition and the National Arbitration Competition for several years, where I obtained several awards. The support of the University in these competitions allowed me to acquire skills such as oral litigation, drafting of lawsuit memorials and responses to lawsuits, and improvement in legal research on legal matters such as arbitration and international humanitarian law. In addition, the knowledge acquired in general subjects and electives gave me an advantage in the workplace. This year I was awarded the Barberis Scholarship granted by the Universidad Austral de Argentina, Buenos Aires. Definitely the skills provided by UHE were part of this achievement.

María Camila Torres Trueba

Advisor to Constitutional Judge Enrique Herrería Bonnet

UHE has been an essential part of my human and professional formation. First, as a student I received a solid foundation that allowed me to continue my academic career with great satisfaction and recognition. Later, by opening the doors to begin my teaching career, UHE strengthened my commitment to education as a powerful tool to change realities. In addition to the academic and professional training, at UHE I was also able to meet great friends, now colleagues, with whom we try to generate a transformative impact on society from different sectors.

Pryanka Peñafiel-Cevallos

National Advisor GIZ Ecuador - PhD (c) University of Massachusetts Boston

UHE provided me with a comprehensive education, where I not only learned about my career in administration but also in general areas that complemented my professional profile in the best way. The professors and authorities of the university inspired me to be first an excellent citizen and then an impeccable professional. The knowledge and values learned at UHE were key to stand out in my early career and later develop my career to where I am today.

Juan Sebastian Diaz

Corporate Analytics Manager, Belcorp

UHE was undoubtedly the best nest to make dreams come true. It is a university that gave me the best academic foundations in Marketing and Finance to later align my ideas and project me towards a master's degree in innovation and a doctorate in business administration. A very important point to emphasize is the example of dedication and study that my professors instilled in me, their example projected me to never stop learning and to know that these bases that UHE gave me were strong to later become the first Ph.D. Alumni of UHE. This gift of learning opened many doors for me in the workplace and I know that it will continue to give me opportunities to continue reaping success and to be able to share them with those around me.
