The International Faculty of Communication and Cultural Industries of the UHE, in association with the Instituto Superior Tecnológico de Fútbol de Quito of the Ecuadorian Soccer Federation FEF (ISTFQ), held the Scientific Article Writing Workshop.
This event, held under the agreement between both institutions, was designed to strengthen the competencies of the participants in academic writing and research, with a special focus on Sports Communication. During the workshop, key topics related to applied research in sports were addressed, from the definition of research topics to the publication of scientific articles in specialized journals.
One of the main achievements of the event was the emphasis on the need to develop collaborative research that contributes to generating new knowledge on the various dimensions of sport in Ecuador. Because finding new mechanisms to analyze sport from a social, economic, cultural and political perspective is fundamental to provide new knowledge on the full range of sporting activities in the country.
This workshop reflects the shared commitment of both institutions to academic excellence and the promotion of research in the field of sports. We thank the ISTFQ for joining us and promoting, together with us, the professionalization of sport in the country.
About Sports Communication and its field of work:
With 8 semesters of study in daytime face-to-face mode, and 95% of institutional employability, the Sports Communication program trains professionals capable of exploring their skills in the following field of action:
- As a sports journalist in traditional and digital media.
- Sports commentator or analyst on radio, television or online platforms.
- Social media manager for teams, athletes or sports organizations.
- Director of communications in sports clubs or associations.
- Editor of specialized sports magazines.
