On Wednesday, May 12, the first Express Vaccination Center was inaugurated in Quito in the facilities of the Universidad Hemisferios. The Center prioritizes vaccination for people over 85 years old, people with more than 50% disability (with ID) and catastrophic diseases (proven). The inauguration was attended by the President of the Republic of Ecuador, Lenin Moreno, and Dr. Camilo Salinas, Minister of Health.

On May 10, the UHE started the Pilot Plan with the vaccination of 200 students from the UHemisferios School of Health, who are now part of the medical vaccination brigades. The Express Vaccination Center has the capacity to vaccinate 500 people, who will be attended by appointment.
At the moment, the Center has been considered as a reference point at a national level.
It has adequate logistics so that no traffic congestion is generated and patients have adequate medical care, fast, personalized and with a human tone; aspects that are reflected in patients, especially in the elderly, disabled and with catastrophic diseases.
