Uhemisferios reaffirmed its commitment to the defense of human rights by participating in the national forum on "Human Rights: Ecuador's Obligations and International Cooperation". This event, organized at the National Assembly, served as a space for reflection on the importance of these fundamental principles for Ecuadorian society.
Our faculty member, David Castillo, gave an outstanding presentation on "The Human Right to Identity of Adopted Persons". This fundamental right, often overlooked, refers to the right of each individual to know his or her origins, personal history and biological family. It is an essential aspect of a person's identity and contributes to building a sense of belonging and self-esteem.

Dr. Castillo's presentation, based on the progress of his doctoral thesis, generated intense debate among the attendees and underscored the need to ensure that all individuals have access to information about their identity and can construct a coherent personal narrative.
Hemisferios' participation was not limited to Dr. Castillo's presentation. A group of our students also attended the event, where they were able to listen to various national and international experts, participate in workshops and debates, and broaden their knowledge of human rights in a global context.
