On Tuesday, May 22, students of the Communication career participated in a master class on Game Theory and Negotiation, taught by Carlos Rojas, journalist and director of the program Politicamente Correcto of Ecuavisa. This enriching session was organized by María Fernanda Arauz, professor of the School of Communication, with the aim of deepening strategic issues of conflict resolution and the importance of collaboration.
During the class, students reflected on the strategies needed to resolve conflicts effectively, exploring both game theory and its applications and limitations. Carlos Rojas, through clear and practical examples, guided the attendees in the understanding of fundamental concepts, such as the search for equilibrium solutions that harmonize individual and group interests.
Students learned to identify and apply the theoretical tools of negotiation and game theory in real situations, valuing the importance of cooperation and strategic analysis in decision-making. This experience not only broadened their academic knowledge, but also provided them with practical skills essential for their professional future.
The School of Communication continues to be committed to offering its students high quality educational experiences that integrate theory and practice, and foster critical and strategic thinking. The class with Carlos Rojas is one more example of how we seek to enrich the education of our future communicators.
