This October 19, 2018, the Dean of the Faculty of Communication of Hemisferios University, Daniel López Jiménez, was appointed as representative for Ecuador as Academic Advisor of the new CLAEP Council, academic body of the Inter American Press Association (IAPA). This took place within the framework of the 74th SIP General Assembly held in Salta, Argentina.
