Hemisferios University is pleased to announce the exciting development of HemiFest, an intercollegiate music festival that has captured the attention of talented young people throughout the region. Since its inception in March and the official launch of the call for entries in October, this competition, promoted by the International School of Communication and Cultural Industries, together with the Music Department, has experienced exponential growth, surpassing 20 applications through the YouTube platform.
The main objective of the festival is to publicize the music career of Hemisferios University in the schools of the city, as well as to open a space for young people to showcase their talent.
Semifinal and Final Stages
A total of 22 musical groups, representing 17 educational institutions, have demonstrated their passion and skill in the inter-school auditions. After a rigorous selection process, 12 talented groups have secured their place in the semifinals.

Next Steps
With excitement building, Hemisferios University is preparing for the semi-finals, where the 12 finalists will compete for a place in the grand finale. Two semifinals will take place in early March at the UHE auditorium, where 6 groups will perform on each date. The top 3 from each semi-final will advance to the final.
The grand finale will take place at the Casa de la Música on March 19, 2025. The event will feature the special participation of a renowned guest band, whose name will be revealed soon.
Additional Activities
In addition to the live presentations, the semifinalists and finalists will participate in a series of enriching activities:
- Lectures and Courses: Participants will receive technical training and practical advice to improve their musical performance and stage presence.
- Direct Pass to the Final: The audition video with the most votes on social networks will be awarded a direct pass to the final.
- Personal Feedback: Each group will receive individualized feedback from experts to identify areas for improvement.
