Universidad Hemisferios (UHE) celebrated the incorporation of new authorities in solemn ceremonies, marking a new chapter in its commitment to academic excellence and professional development. The university community gathered to welcome Mgs. Esteban Santos as Dean of the Faculty of Law, Political Science and International Relations, and Dr. Iván Pérez as Director of the Nursing program.
Esteban Santos becomes Dean of the Department of Legal Sciences, Political Science and International Relations
In an emotional ceremony, Esteban Santos was introduced as the new Dean of the School of Law, Political Science and International Relations. With an extensive background in the field, Santos assumes leadership with the objective of promoting the development and academic excellence of students.
During the event, a tribute was paid to Teodomiro Rivadeneira, former dean of the faculty, in recognition of his valuable work and his significant contribution to the education of students. Gabriel Galán was also thanked for his work as director of the law program.
In his speech, Esteban Santos expressed his gratitude to his family for their unconditional support and reaffirmed his commitment to work tirelessly for the growth of the faculty. Daniel López, Academic Vice Rector of the UHE, welcomed the new dean, highlighting his trajectory and leadership as a key piece for the growth of the Law, Political Science, and International Relations careers, belonging to the faculty.
Meet Esteban Santos
Mgs. Esteban Santos is an Attorney at Law, Master in International Dispute Resolution. He has experience in international law, mediation, international affairs and teaching. In addition, he serves as mediator before the Quito and Ecuadorian-American Chambers of Commerce. Our new dean was recognized as Mediator of the Year 2019 by the Arbitration and Mediation Center of the Quito Chamber of Commerce CAM-CCQ.
Dr. Iván Pérez will lead the Nursing Career
In another ceremony, Dr. Ivan Perez was introduced as the new Director of the Nursing program. Dr. Mauricio Aguirre, Dean of Graduate Studies in Health Sciences, introduced Dr. Perez and congratulated him for assuming this important position.
Dr. Iván Pérez, in his speech, thanked his family and colleagues for their support throughout his career. He emphasized his commitment to work together with the faculty and administrative team to strengthen the career and train highly qualified nursing professionals.
Meet Dr. Iván Pérez
Dr. Iván Pérez is a doctor in Medicine and Surgery, specialist in General Surgery. In addition, he holds a Master in Occupational Health and Safety, and has a doctorate in progress in Innovation Education. We are proud to say that Ivan Perez also works as a Laparoscopic Surgery Attendant at the Tumbaco Specialties Clinic.
