A leap of faith into the future
The Character: 20 years UHemisferios edition
Today, as I look out over the vibrant landscape of Doha, I cannot help but feel a deep sense of gratitude to Hemisferios University (HEU), the institution that 20 years ago opened the doors to a world of possibilities. I was part of the pioneer generation, those young dreamers who bet on a nascent university that promised more than just education: a comprehensive education that would prepare us to become agents of change in society.
A leap of faith into the future
In 2004, UHE was a fledgling institution, but what set it apart was its innovative and humanistic approach. We became the first generation of UHE, a diverse group of students united by the desire to learn, grow and contribute to the common good. The curriculum, far from being a simple list of subjects, became a journey of personal and professional discovery.
Beyond the classroom: transcending values
UHE was not only concerned with providing us with technical knowledge, but also instilled in us fundamental values such as respect, tolerance, social responsibility and commitment to ethics. These teachings have been fundamental pillars in my personal and professional life, especially in a context such as the one I am currently living in Qatar, a country with a culture and traditions very different from my own.
A springboard to global success
Upon graduation, I embarked on a journey that has taken me to different corners of the world. The solid training I received at UHE gave me the confidence and tools I needed to adapt to new environments, overcome challenges and achieve my goals. Currently, I reside in Qatar, where I have had the opportunity to work in the field of tourism and communication, areas in which I have found great personal and professional satisfaction.
A recognition of excellence
My experience in Qatar has not been without its challenges. However, the "Excellence" award I received for my work on the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup Organizing Committee is a testament to the value of the education I received at UHE. This recognition fills me with pride and motivates me to continue striving to leave a positive footprint in the world.
A message to the new generations
To the new generations embarking on the path of higher education, I want to say: do not be afraid to dream big, to pursue your passions with tenacity and to face challenges with courage. UHE, with its 20 years of experience, is an institution that will provide you with the tools and support you need to achieve your goals and become agents of positive change in society.
A tribute to the UHE
On this twentieth anniversary of UHE, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to this institution that formed me as a person and as a professional. I thank its professors, whose passion and dedication ignited in me the flame of knowledge and motivation to learn. I celebrate their achievements and wish them many more years of success in their mission to form minds and hearts committed to the future.
