Last Friday, June 7, fourth semester students of the Psychopedagogy career attended the lecture "Importance of reading and writing processes in daily life" at the Universidad Andina Simón Bolívar (UASB) as part of their training in the subject of didactics of language and writing taught by Professor Ana Pavlica Caiza. This event aimed to deepen the teaching and learning processes of reading and writing, promoting the understanding of various educational, psychological and social issues.
During the day, the students had the opportunity to listen to PhD. Soledad Mena, professor and coordinator of the reading and writing teaching program, who shared her experience and knowledge about language didactics. Fernando Bernal, professor at the National Pedagogical University of Mexico, participated in the discussion. His intervention added a complementary vision, addressing educational strategies from his vast experience in different educational contexts. Both spaces allowed the students to broaden their knowledge and reflect on the different methodologies applicable to the teaching of reading and writing.
Participation in events such as this one is fundamental for the professional development of our students, demonstrating the importance of external spaces to complement their academic and professional training. At UHE we promote comprehensive and meaningful learning, preparing our future psychopedagogues to face educational challenges with a solid and updated training.
