Expert forum discusses challenges and strategies in the fight against financial crime

The Hemisferios University School of Law organized an important event to discuss the crucial role that the institution plays in the prevention and detection of money laundering, a fundamental aspect in the fight against financial crime and corruption. The discussion was moderated by Ricardo Velasco, professor of the Specialization in Compliance and Anti-Corruption at Universidad Hemisferios, who led the discussion on the role of the Financial and Economic Analysis Unit (UAFE) in the prevention of money laundering.
Among the distinguished guest panelists were Alan Sierra Nieto, General Director of the Financial and Economic Analysis Unit of Ecuador, and Adriana Orellana, Senior Associate at Pérez Bustamante y Ponce. Both experts shared their knowledge and experience in the field of compliance, anti-money laundering and anti-corruption.
