María Cristina Rockenbach Ph.D.
Doctora en Odontología concentración patología bucal por Universidad Federal de Río Grande del Sur, con especialización en Cirugía Bucomaxilofacial por la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Porto Alegre.
Participó en la elaboración de Guías de Práctica Clínica de Odontología para el Ministerio de Salud Pública del Ecuador.
Ha realizado publicaciones científicas sobre cambios cuantitativos de los tejidos blandos después de las extracciones.
Fue decana de la Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud de la Universidad Hemisferios.
Ricardo Serrano Ph.D
MSc. Paulina Dueñas
Magíster en Filosofía y candidata al Doctorado en Filosofía por la Pontificia Universidad Católica Argentina. Su investigación se enfoca en filosofía política.
Posee una sólida y destacada trayectoria en el ámbito educativo, habiéndose desempeñado como directora de programas y proyectos innovadores. Su experiencia abarca docencia, gestión y desarrollo curricular, diseño de instrumentos de evaluación del aprendizaje e integración de nuevas tecnologías para potenciar procesos educativos presenciales y virtuales.
Ha ejercido funciones vinculadas al diseño y orientación de políticas educativas, como Subsecretaria de Fundamentos Educativos en el Ministerio de Educación. Además, fue Decana de la Facultad de Educación de la Universidad Hemisferios.

Councils and Committees
Universidad Hemisferios, in the formation of its collegiate bodies, ensures the principles of affirmative action by guaranteeing freedom of thought and expression to all its members. In particular, it promotes the values of equality, pluralism, tolerance, critical spirit and compliance with the law. By virtue of this, it does not admit discrimination derived from ideological position, religion, ethnicity, gender, economic position, political affiliation or any other of similar nature.

Board of Regents
Its main function is to ensure compliance with the mission, vision and founding principles of the University and the orientation and fulfillment of institutional strategic planning.
Members: Chancellor of the University, the members appointed by the University Council upon proposal of the Rector, in a number not exceeding six, of which, no more than two may be founding members and the remaining shall be ordinary members.

University Council
The University Council is the highest Academic and Administrative Collegiate Body of Co-Government of the University, which exercises the government of the University respecting and enforcing the Organic Law of Higher Education and its General Regulations, as well as the Statute, regulations, norms and instructions. It also ensures the permanence of the Educational Project and the principles that define the University.
Members: Rector, General Vice Rector, Academic Vice Rector, Administrative-Financial Vice Rector, a Dean representing the others (appointed by the Rector), five representatives of the professors, Representative/s of the students in the percentage determined in the LOES; and at least one representative of the employees and workers who will be incorporated for the treatment of administrative issues.

Academic Council
The Academic Council hears and resolves academic matters, approves and oversees compliance with the University's educational model, projects for the creation or elimination of third level careers, graduate programs and continuing education programs proposed by the faculties, approves requests for public competitive examinations and merit-based examinations, and the granting of third enrollments, among other duties.
Members: Academic Vice Rector (who presides), one or more Deans (summoned by the Academic Vice Rector according to the matters to be discussed), Director of Humanistic Education, Director of Teaching, Director of Curriculum, Director of Research and Director of Liaison.

Faculty Council or Academic Unit
It is a collegiate body that assists the Dean or Director in the academic management of its Unit.
Members: Dean or Director (who chairs it), Career Directors, Academic Coordinators acting as Secretaries, one professor and one student.

Administrative-Financial Committee
The Administrative Finance Committee reviews the proposed institutional strategic plan, the multi-year plan and the annual institutional operating plan, as well as the proposed annual budget of the University and each of its academic and administrative units.
Members: Rector (presiding), Academic Vice Rector, Administrative-Financial Vice Rector, Administrative-Financial Director, Director of Quality Management.

Research, Innovation and Knowledge Transfer Board
The Research, Innovation and Knowledge Transfer Council is a non-collegiate academic body responsible for issuing research policies, approving research programs and projects of the Science, Technology, Innovation and Ancestral Knowledge system of Hemisferios University.

Postgraduate Council
The Graduate Council establishes policies for the operation and development of graduate programs and continuing education projects, appoints project or thesis directors for graduate program students, among other activities.

Evaluation and Accreditation Committee
The Evaluation and Accreditation Committee is in charge of developing policies of excellence in the University through academic quality and administrative management processes. It guides the institutional accreditation processes.

Court of Honor
The function of the Honor Tribunal is to analyze offenses against university coexistence and recommend their respective sanctions to the University Council.
This body is made up of the persons designated by the Rector for each specific case.

Society Liaison Committee
The Society Liaison Committee is responsible for establishing relations between the University and society, so that this linkage is expressed in mutual collaboration and benefits.

Scholarship Committee
The Scholarship Committee is the collegiate body of the University in charge of evaluating and approving applications for the granting or renewal of scholarships according to the academic performance and merits of the students, and affirmative action policies.
